DON’T FORGET THIS DETAIL ON YOUR INVITATION

At Hawthorne House, beverage payments are broken out into three installments:

  1. 90 days prior to your wedding day your first beverage installment is due, equating to one third of your total estimated beverage bill

  2. 60 days prior to your wedding day your second beverage installment is due, equating to one third of your total estimated beverage bill

  3. 14 days prior to your event your final installment is due and will include remaining beverage installments, rental items and any other a la carte details you choose to add on at the final walk through

What does this have to do with sending invitations?

Well, when you send invitations you’ll include details on how you want guests to RSVP. Most couples choose to snag their RSVPs online to simplify the process, but mail in RSVPs are a great option too! However you decide to collect which guests are or are not coming you’ll want to highlight the due date for these RSVPs. Guests tend to lollygag and wait until the last minute to let you know if they are attending - even if they know their decision as soon as they open your invitation. By setting this RSVP due date three weeks prior to your event date, you have time to pester anyone who may have missed the date, as well as allow any mail in RSVPs to trail in. Giving yourself a few days of collecting and finalizing your RSVP count before it is due to Hawthorne House will alleviate last minute stress.

Remember- you’ll have to turn final numbers into a handful of vendors! Catering numbers are typically due 1-2 weeks prior to the event date and your final floral order may be due earlier than that. Once your final RSVP count is turned in to Hawthorne House, we can adjust your table count to ensure you are only paying for centerpieces that you need!

Feel free to reference your Welcome Packet or send a message to our Venue Manager, which can both be done on your personalized client portal, if you have questions throughout the process. We are here to support you throughout this journey!

Happy planning from Hawthorne House!
