Send Off Ideas
Throughout planning you’ll be asked about what song you want to walk down the aisle to, how you want to be announced at your grand entrance and what dance/diddy/jig you’ll be entering with- but what about the exit? We previously touched on the different times to host a send off as we’ve seen post-ceremony, post-cocktail hour and post-reception send offs at Hawthorne House. Payton and Zane chose to host their wedding send off after their Hawthorne House reception surrounded by their friends and family on the front lawn. They coordinated with their wedding planner and DJ to line guests up and hand out light up lanterns on sticks which made the photo absolutely epic! Elizabeth LaDean captured it perfectly with the Emerson Room doors perfectly centered as the backdrop.
If you haven’t heard of Sparktaculars you need to Google it immediately!!! Our favorite way to wow your guests is by having your entertainment vendor provide and facilitate Sparktaculars- otherwise known as cold sparks. The great thing about Sparktaculars is you can use them multiple times throughout the evening! We’ve had couples use them for their grand entrance, first dance, champagne tower, randomly throughout the dance floor and for their grand exit. A few entertainment companies that can provide this service are Fernando Productions (our most popular DJ service, too!), Levity Events and Lost Wax.

Sarah and Zach used fun ribbon wands as their post-reception send off and, while they didn’t have any light up aspect, they photographed just as beautifully! Their guests had a blast lining up along the Emerson Room sidewalk as the couple sauntered down for their last smooch before getting in their getaway car. One epic way to end the night, for sure!
